about kelly
Kelly is a wildlife photographer and aspiring filmmaker currently based in Cornwall, UK. Her fascination with the natural world has led her on an exciting path away from a full-time office job as a legal assistant to studying an undergraduate degree in Zoology. Through her passion for wildlife, Kelly enjoys giving her time to conservation projects and recently volunteered with a rewilding organisation which aims to reintroduce water voles to a River Thames catchment in 2022.
As a keen enthusiast of the outdoors, Kelly is happy to spend many hours in all types of weather to document the beauty of our planet and the wildlife that inhabits it — when it comes to documenting animal behaviour, research, patience and perseverance is key!
Kelly hopes that through her studies and social media content, she can expand her portfolio and pursue a career as a natural history cinematographer. Visual storytelling has inspired Kelly since she was a child and she hopes that through her work, she will be able to pass that inspiration onto future generations; especially in a world where we are experiencing a dramatic decline in wildlife populations and a climate crisis.
Alongside her filmmaking ambitions, Kelly is also a long-established wildlife photographer and her work has been featured in BBC Wildlife Magazine. Her photography has taken her on many adventures throughout the UK as well as across the Atlantic to North America, where she has documented gray whale migrations and the swift flight of the Anna's hummingbird - the fastest bird in the world relative to its size.
