Our continued donations to our six charities are only possible as a result of the purchases made by our customers and supporters, and for this we cannot thank you enough. Our recent donation of £153.86 to the Bat Conservation Trust will help contribute towards the fantastic work they do to engage and educate more people about bats and bat conservation.
A really important part of the work the BCT do is to engage and educate more people about the beauty, value and importance of bats. They do this in a number of different ways which includes organizing or attending key events as well as producing material that can be distributed to local bat groups, community groups, schools and lots of other institutions. A lot of the outreach work they do includes working collaboratively with key partners such as local bat groups and other conservation charities.
Wild About Gardens Week - 24th-30th October
This year the BCT's communications team has been working with Royal Horticultural Society and The Wildlife Trust to promote wildlife gardening with a bat focus, as a part of Wild About Gardens Week. It’s thanks to donations like ours that the BCT have been able to produce their “Stars of the Night Leaflet” which has proven particularly popular:
